National Park Service National Park

Rocky Mountain was established on January 26, 1915. The park straddles the Continental Divide in Colorado, with Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in the United States at 12,183 feet, crossing it. Nearly a third of the park sits above treeline.
