The situation
What’s happening to Western Oregon O&C Lands
Two and a half million acres of the most productive forestland in the world, and BLM wants to quadruple the logging. The new resource management plan targets old-growth forests and mature stands that harbor spotted owls, marbled murrelets, and salmon. This is the biggest public lands logging decision in a generation, and most people have never heard of it.
