STAND for Public Lands, from More Than Just Parks, is a free, independent guide to the 260 organizations working to protect America’s national parks, forests, deserts, refuges and wild rivers. Name a place you love and STAND shows who is on the record defending it, what each group does, where its money goes and how to support it directly.

More Than Just Parks built STAND because no single place showed who is fighting for America’s public lands. It profiles 260 organizations with headquarters in 34 states, from national legal teams to the friends group down the road. Every profile is built from public sources: the groups’ own IRS filings, the federal court record, lobbying disclosures and their own words. Every threatened place has a page naming the groups on the record for it. STAND is free, carries no advertising and takes no paid placement; a gift through it goes straight to the group. Organizations can claim and update their own profiles at no cost. More Than Just Parks is an independent conservation publication founded in 2014 by the brothers Will and Jim Pattiz.
