What’s happening to DeLamar Mine / Owyhee River Country
The Owyhee Canyonlands of southwest Idaho hold some of the wildest, most remote public land in the Lower 48, drained by clear tributaries of the Owyhee River. Integra Resources has proposed the DeLamar open-pit, cyanide heap-leach gold and silver mine on about 6,708 acres of BLM land near Jordan Creek, an Owyhee River tributary. The BLM opened environmental review in mid-2026, and conservation groups warn the process is being fast-tracked through a region where cyanide leaching threatens water quality and redband trout.
