The origin

How they started

Native Movement runs the No Ambler Road campaign. Its May 2026 statement opposes the road and the mining district behind it as a threat to the hunting, fishing and gathering rights of Tribal members and to the caribou, fish and water the Athabascan and Inupiat cultures of the region depend on.

How they run

Small and lean

We don’t hold a detailed federal filing for this group. Groups this size often file the short form or run below the IRS reporting line, so there’s no budget or crew to show here, and that’s no knock: some of the sharpest local defense in the country runs this way.
