THE RESULTS OF SCIENTIFIC AND OTHER INDEPENDENT STUDIES SHOW SIGNIFICANT EVIDENCE THAT DEMONSTRATES THE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE NATURE AND DESTRUCTIVE LEGACIES OF THE GLEN CANYON DAM. THROUGH GLEN CANYON INSTITUTE'S EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAM, THE INSTITUTE HAS EDUCATED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ABOUT COLORADO RIVER POLICY AND THE NEED TO RESTORE GLEN CANYON. THIS INCLUDES THE RETURNING RAPIDS PROJECT WHICH WORKS TO BRING SCIENTISTS AND STAKEHOLDERS INTO AREAS OF CATARACT CANYON AND THE SAN JUAN RIVER THAT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY GLEN CANYON DAM.
