The situation
Two wild rivers carve thousand-foot canyons through southern Idaho’s high desert, home to desert bighorn sheep, redband trout, and some of the most remote canyon country in the West. Chronic overgrazing has degraded the sagebrush uplands that feed these rivers, and the BLM consistently sides with ranchers over the resource.
