The MODA Active Management Project must fully disclose how proposed logging and vegetation management in the Moore Creek and Davis Creek Subwatersheds will affect wildlife, water quality, and soil health before any work is approved.

3 holes in the agency’s own analysis

Make these points, in your own words

  • The MODA Active Management Project must fully disclose how proposed logging and vegetation management in the Moore Creek and Davis Creek Subwatersheds will affect wildlife, water quality, and soil health before any work is approved.
  • The Crescent Ranger District should explain exactly which dry forest restoration techniques will be used in the Moore Creek and Davis Creek Subwatersheds and how each technique avoids long-term harm to the forested ecosystem.
  • I oppose approving this project without a thorough NEPA analysis showing that active management in these two subwatersheds on the Deschutes National Forest will genuinely restore rather than degrade the dry forest ecosystem.

Say something only you can say. The law requires the agency to consider and respond to substantive comments, and specifics are what make a comment substantive.
