Cimarron National GrasslandRoads
“The long term addition of approximately 13 miles of permitted roads for intermittent maintenance patrol use represents a long term increase in erosion potential.”
The agency wrote that in its own document, under Water Resources. Nobody has been out to check it.
Walk to where the power line crosses public land near Leadville and Buena Vista and photograph the ground under and beside the poles: is there already a two-track, or is it untouched slope and meadow? Photos at pole locations showing either an existing drivable track or undisturbed ground where a maintenance road would have to be cut.
The agency has published no document here with a sentence a photograph could settle, only a notice. The line below is read from that notice.
Walk the existing powerline right-of-way on the Comanche National Grassland and photograph the two-track ranch roads and footpaths people actually use under it, plus the unbroken grass and open horizon on either side.
The window shut September 28. Evidence still counts: it backs the objections from people who did comment, goes to the lawyers, and outlives the decision.
