The Watch · an email list for one rule and the lines near you

Watch the lines near you. Write when the window opens.

The proposed rule on how BLM designates Areas of Critical Environmental Concern wasn't in the Federal Register at our last check, Oct 18, 2026, 12:36pm PT, so there's nothing to comment on today. The day it's published, a comment window opens under the Administrative Procedure Act. The Watch is how you'll know, and how you'll have the facts ready.

  • The day the window opensOne email the day the Federal Register prints the proposed rule, RIN 1004-AF53, with the comment deadline read from the Register's own page. We check the Federal Register and its public inspection desk every 15 minutes. It wasn't there at our last check, Oct 18, 2026, 12:36pm PT.
  • A change to a place near youYour ZIP gives us the lines within 40 miles. If one of them changes on BLM's list, leaves it, or gets a new claim, lease or right of way inside it, one email saying what changed, with the record it came from.
  • The letterWhen the window opens, a starting draft built from the facts about the lines you pick, for you to put in your own words and send to the docket at regulations.gov.

How the Watch works

One email per event. You can stop it from any email. We don't sell or share the list. The ZIP is used only to pick the lines near you. We don't store a location finer than that.

It says what changed and where the record is. When the window closes, it tells you that too.
