“The LSR consistency review submitted by the Middle Fork Ranger District tiered off the 2019 Lowell Country Environmental Assessment LSR consistency review.”
The agency wrote that in its own document, under Late Successional Reserves. Nobody has been out to check it.
Walk into the Fall Creek thinning units on the Middle Fork district that sit in the late-successional reserve blocks and photograph what is standing: trunk size, big snags, downed logs, canopy overhead. Photos of large old trees, standing dead snags and closed canopy inside a unit marked for thinning, with a person or pack for scale.
Open. Anything filed before October 28 goes into the comment file the agency has to answer. After that it backs the formal objections, goes to the lawyers on the fight, and is the story.
