NMFS is reopening public comment on a Hatchery and Genetics Management Plan (HGMP) for seven hatchery programs rearing and releasing multiple salmon and steelhead species in the Skokomish River basin in Washington State. The plan is operated by WDFW, the Skokomish Indian Tribe, and Tacoma Power Utility, and NMFS has preliminarily determined it won't harm the survival or critical habitat of Hood Canal summer chum, Puget Sound Chinook, or Puget Sound steelhead.
