When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, organization name, job title, and role. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers on our servers.
We collect data about how you use the platform, including pages visited, tools accessed, search queries, filters applied, and feature interactions. This data helps us improve the Service and understand which tools are most valuable to conservation professionals.
Page-view telemetry is aggregate by design: we record daily counts per page path only. Page-view records contain no user identifiers, no IP addresses, no device or browser fingerprints, and no session identifiers, and they cannot be connected back to an individual account.
When you create saved views, watchlists, or alert subscriptions, we store those configurations to deliver the functionality you requested. This includes geographic areas of interest, tracked legislators, monitored litigation cases, and fire alert zones.
Any annotations, notes, or comments you add to data records within the platform are stored in your account and shared with members of your organization account as applicable.

Your data is stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the us-east-1 region. All database connections use TLS encryption. Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access data belonging to their account.
The application is hosted on Vercel with edge functions distributed globally. Static assets and API responses are served from Vercel's edge network. No user data is cached at edge locations.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords (bcrypt via Supabase Auth), secure session management, CSRF protection, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not participate in ad networks or behavioral targeting.
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Authentication tokens are stored securely and expire after 7 days of inactivity.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (such as billing records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).
Usage analytics data is aggregated and anonymized after 90 days. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement purposes.
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
