Nothing is open on this one today. It is a place the Corps keeps an eye on, so we see the paperwork the day it lands.
Our file names no single spot, only all 245 million acres of BLM land. Photograph the piece you know best, from a fixed spot you can stand again: the same view, same month, before any new road, rig, or pit shows up.
The 2024 Public Lands Rule, also called the Conservation and Landscape Health Rule, put conservation and restoration on equal footing with drilling, mining, and grazing across all 245 million acres of BLM land for the first time. In May 2026 the Interior Department finalized its rescission, despite 98 percent of public comments opposing the move.
Nobody is asking you to go here today. We watch this place so that the day a decision opens on it, the people who already know it hear the same week. If you are out here anyway, what you photograph now is worth more later than anything taken after the paperwork lands.
More Than Just Parks doesn’t direct where you go or what you do. Terms.
