Nothing is open on this one today. It is a place the Corps keeps an eye on, so we see the paperwork the day it lands.
On the public land inside the project area, photograph every spring, seep and stock tank you can reach: water clear or not, flowing or dry, and any cattle or wildlife tracks in the mud around it.
An in-situ uranium recovery project on the edge of the Black Hills in Fall River and Custer Counties, sacred ground to the Oceti Sakowin. In June 2026 the BLM signed a finding of no significant impact and decision record authorizing infrastructure on 240 acres of public land within a 10,580-acre project area.
Nobody is asking you to go here today. We watch this place so that the day a decision opens on it, the people who already know it hear the same week. If you are out here anyway, what you photograph now is worth more later than anything taken after the paperwork lands.
