Nothing is open on this one today. It is a place the Corps keeps an eye on, so we see the paperwork the day it lands.
From a canyon rim overlook, shoot the same wide view of the deep river canyons on clear days and hazy ones, same spot, same time of day. Haze here already rivals Los Angeles on bad days, so date every frame.
The BLM is preparing to auction oil and gas leases on more than 54,000 acres of public land surrounding Dinosaur National Monument in its Q2 2026 Utah lease sale. The parcels sit in the Uinta Basin, where decades of drilling have already produced air quality comparable to Los Angeles on bad days.
Nobody is asking you to go here today. We watch this place so that the day a decision opens on it, the people who already know it hear the same week. If you are out here anyway, what you photograph now is worth more later than anything taken after the paperwork lands.
More Than Just Parks doesn’t direct where you go or what you do. Terms.
