Nothing is open on this one today. It is a place the Corps keeps an eye on, so we see the paperwork the day it lands.
Out in the open sagebrush, photograph pronghorn themselves and their sign: worn trails through the sage, tracks, scat, and any spot where they cross. Include wide shots showing the ground still unfenced and undrilled.
The largest unfenced landscape in the Lower 48, a rolling sagebrush ocean where pronghorn make the longest land migration in the Western Hemisphere. No formal protection. The BLM is leasing it for oil and gas at a pace that could sever migration corridors these animals have used for 6,000 years.
Nobody is asking you to go here today. We watch this place so that the day a decision opens on it, the people who already know it hear the same week. If you are out here anyway, what you photograph now is worth more later than anything taken after the paperwork lands.
More Than Just Parks doesn’t direct where you go or what you do. Terms.
