Zion National Park

Description

Kolob Terrace is one of the most beautiful yet least visited parts of Zion National Park. This area features lots of hoodoos, grassy plains, volcanic lava rock, colorful mesas, & stunning overlooks.

Every time we visit this area of the park we are amazed that it hasn’t fallen victim to the masses like the main canyon. Kolob Terrace is a perfect spot to spend a day of solitude away from the crowds.

Perhaps the crown jewel of this area is Lava Point which is the best place in the park to catch a sunset.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Kolob Terrace is on a day where you’re trying to get away fro the crowds and just enjoy the natural world.

Things to Note

Kolob Terrace is located north of Zion Canyon and South of Kolob Canyon and is accessed via a separate entrance.
