Canyon Overlook

Zion National Park

Description

Canyon Overlook is one of the most spectacular and relatively easy to access overlooks in all of Zion National Park. Located on the Zion Mt. Carmel (East) side of the park, the Canyon Overlook Trail is a popular one.

Distance: 1 mile roundtrip
Time: Typically 1-2 hours

The trail itself is about a mile roundtrip with little elevation gain. Hikers will be rewarded with sweeping views of Zion National Park.

The Trailhead for Canyon Overlook is a popular spot for Bighorn Sheep so keep your eyes peeled!

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is early in the morning before the parking lot for the trailhead fills up and when fewer people are on the trail.

Things to Note

The parking lot for the trailhead is small and parking in the surrounding area is extremely limited.
