Description

Built in 1858, the Bass Harbor Head Light Station, or Bass Harbor Lighthouse as it is more commonly known, is one of the most visited spots in the park and an iconic feature of the rugged Maine coastline. From the parking lot you’ll proceed down a short trail followed by a stairway leading to a shoreline viewpoint. Here you can wade through the other photographers, and there will be plenty of other photographers, and get your very own iconic sunset picture.
