Joshua Tree National Park
Arch Rock Description
Arch Rock is one of the most famous and heavily photographed destinations in Joshua Tree National Park. Arch Rock itself is a roughly 30ft natural arch located near the White Tank Campground. The hike to the arch leads visitors through a labyrinth of cool rock formations leading up to the arch itself.
The trail once began at the White Tank Campground but the park is now asking folks to use the parking area / Twin Tanks trailhead just down the road. This trail is about 1.2mi roundtrip.
Best Time to Visit Arch Rock
The best time to visit Arch Rock is at sunrise to see the sun sweep through the arch formation. An added bonus is there are far less people out on the trail during this time of day.
Things to Note
The arch can sometimes be difficult to spot at first so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

The Joshua Tree Film
↓
MTJP | Joshua Tree is the culmination of nearly a month spent exploring Joshua Tree National Park. We chose Joshua Tree because of its unique landscape. Its immense boulder piles, colorful cactus fields, endless desert expanses, and one-of-a-kind Joshua trees make for a spectacular setting. This film was shot entirely in 4K.
